The Lincoln National Parks boasts some of the most beautiful coastline in South Australia. The rugged off-shore inlets and secluded sandy beaches are an adventurer’s dream, complete with birdwatching, trekking, swimming and fishing. The park has a few designated camp grounds which offer incredibly easy access to beaches, walking trails and bays. The national park is rich in history and has much to offer those looking for a relaxing place to explore and unwind.

The north-eastern area of the park contains a secluded rocky headland which is only accessible by four-wheel drive. The beach is small but pristine and it is a perfect spot to pitch your tent. Bring your fishing rod to catch mullet, small salmon and even squid off the headland, thanks to the deep water. Don’t be surprised if you spot a dolphin or shark swimming past!

It is also definitely worth a stop at the Ceduna jetty. Is a lovely long jetty and is absolutely perfect for a walk at sunset. Lose yourself for an hour or so and soak up the warm sun and southern winds. Crabbing and fishing are very popular off the jetty, so bring along a crab net and some fishing rods, and hopefully you’ll get lucky! Make sure to snap an iconic sunset picture whilst you’re at it. Finish the walk off with a barbeque on the Foreshore, with a playground for the kids to play on.

So pack your camera, hiking boots and swimmers and be prepared for the most amazing trip away, of adventure and phenomenal photographs.
